Embrace the outdoorsIn Savannah Lakes Village, nature abounds in every direction. Bordered by 65,000 acres of public lands, including three state parks and a national forest, we have some of the nation’s most scenic inland waterways and terrains.
When you live in Savannah Lakes Village, you will be right next to three state parks. Hickory Knob, Elijah Clark, and Baker Creek State Parks are filled with dozens of miles of hiking trails for your enjoyment. Here’s a list of trails you can enjoy when you come and visit.
Elijah Clark State Park
A gem of Georgia’s freshwater coast, this park offers a glimpse into history, with a log cabin replica of the home of Elijah Clark, Revolutionary War hero. The park has several recreational amenities as well, including a miniature golf course for the whole family.
Hannah Clark Nature Trail – 0.8 miles
3-Miles Trail – 3 miles
Baker Creek State Park
Situated next to the Monticello neighborhood of Savannah Lakes Village, Baker Creek spans 1,305 acres of rolling woodlands to explore. It is open on a seasonal basis, but that doesn’t stop locals from using it year-round.
Baker Creek has over 10 miles of different trails, so you can get your exercise in and enjoy nature when you visit.
Mountain Bike Trail – 10 miles of connecting loops
Wild Mint Nature Trail – 0.8 miles
Walking Trail – 0.7 miles
Hickory Knob State Park
A serene, lakeside South Carolina state park, Hickory Knob offers an 18-hole golf course, full-service restaurant, skeet shooting, boat ramps, archery range, meeting facilities, 220+ lodge-style rooms and cabins, campsites, and more. The state park has three main trails:
Beaver Run Trail – 2.5 miles of moderate difficulty
Lakeview Loop Trail – 7.2 miles, longest trail at Hickory Knob
Turkey Ridge Loop Trail – 1.7 miles
