Fishing Lake Thurmond

A true fisherman’s delight awaits you on Lake Thurmond. Striped bass, hybrid bass, largemouth bass, bream, and crappie can all be caught on the lake. Fishing is one of the most popular activities on the 71,000 acres body of water surrounding Savannah Lakes Village. There are dozens of fishing piers, bank fishing areas, and boat ramps for launching your own boat. The US Army Corps of Engineers make year-round improvements to the environment benefiting both fish and fishermen alike.

A Boater’s Paradise

Homeowners, regardless of where their home is located, have the opportunity to lease a slip at a neighborhood dock. These covered docks feature electrical connections and year-round maintenance.

| Fishing Licenses Made Easy |

South Carolina and Georgia have a reciprocal fishing license agreement so that residents of both states may fish anywhere from both boats and shore on Lake Thurmond with a license from either state. Residents of other states must purchase a nonresident license from either South Carolina or Georgia.
