Washington, GA

30 Minutes from Savannah Lakes Village

With more antebellum homes per capita than any other city in the United States, Historic Washington-Wilkes is one of the south’s best kept secrets. It truly is the epitome of a southern small town complete with charm, beauty, and of course, southern hospitality.

You will fall in love with the rolling hills, streetscapes, and historic downtown where a myriad of shops, antique stores and restaurants line the streets. This town is home to many special events held at elegant museums and venues. On your trip, check out the gourmet French offerings of C’est La Vie, a farm-to-table local favorite.

Be sure to stop by the famous and elegant Fitzpatrick Hotel, which is located on the Courthouse Square. It was originally constructed in 1898, underwent an intensive restoration plan for a grand re-opening in 2004, and today still carries its original full grandeur from the turn of the last century.
